Cougar Ridge Open Houses

Cougar Ridge open houses are mostly two-storey 2000s detached family homes with front attached garages, and ten of the fourteen homes listed right now have four or more bedrooms, so expect to be walking family-sized floor plans rather than a mix of sizes. The community climbs the Paskapoo Slopes below the WinSport ski jumps, which means the street an address sits on changes what you get more than the floor plan does. Townhome courts and the two condo buildings on Cougar Ridge Landing come up occasionally and are worth seeing against the detached stock rather than on their own.

Upcoming Cougar Ridge open houses

No Cougar Ridge open houses are currently scheduled

Nothing is scheduled in Cougar Ridge right now, which is common in a community of this size — fourteen homes are listed today against 103 sales in the last twelve months, so the inventory turns over faster than it sits. A private showing often works better here anyway, because the things that decide a Cougar Ridge address are the slope, the view and the street, and those are easier to judge without a queue behind you. What you learn by walking Cougar Ridge

The hillside is the reason to come in person. Cougar Ridge was built up the Paskapoo Slopes, so the upper streets look back over the city while the lower ones sit minutes from the ski jumps, and a view described in a listing may belong to the street above the one you are standing on. View premiums here are real, but they have to be verified from the property itself rather than from a photograph taken at the best angle. Grade does the same thing to the land: driveways ice differently and yards terrace differently street by street, which is obvious on foot in February and invisible online in any month. The community's signature walkouts come from the same slope, though at the moment none of the fourteen homes listed is a walkout, so if that is what you came for it is worth asking rather than assuming. Two edges are worth hearing for yourself: the Trans-Canada runs along the north boundary and carries a hum on the northernmost streets, and Old Banff Coach Road slows toward Bow Trail in the morning. Both of these are street-specific, not community-wide. The last thing a weekend open house will not show you is the school run: Calgary French & International School and the Calgary Waldorf School are both inside the community, and bell-time traffic visibly shapes Cougar Ridge Drive, so a weekday pass at 8:15 tells you something no Sunday afternoon can.

Cannot make the open house?

We will walk it for you, or arrange a private showing at a time that suits. Either way you get an honest read on the place, not a sales pitch.
