Located in the Dover community, the West Dover development is served by a very active community association that serves an area bound by 26 Avenue to the north, Peigan Trail to the south, CNR Mainline to the east and Irrigation Canal and 24 Street to the west. Named after the historic alderman and environmentalist Mary Dover, the Dover community is located near to major transportation routes as well as a variety of recreational opportunities. Events hosted by the community centre include a Halloween Party, Easter Party, Breakfast with Santa and Dover Days, which includes games, rides, a petting zoo, a carnival and a parade complete with floats.
Elementary-aged children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the West Dover community may attend the Catholic schools of Blessed Damien and Holy Redeemer, with Holy Redeemer offering a French Immersion program.
