Situated on the western boundary of Calgary between the Bow River and the TransCanada Highway, the community of Valley Ridge is bound to the north by Bow River, to the south by 16 Avenue, to the east by Stoney Trail and to the west by the city limits. In addition to being located within an attractive natural setting, the community of Valley Ridge is also served by an active community association. The association hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including an annual summer barbeque. Playgroups, parent groups, walking groups and other groups and activities are also made available through the community association. Facilities available to residents within the community include a skating rink and sports fields.
Children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Valley Ridge community may attend one of several different elementary schools. These include the public schools of Belvedere-Parkway and Varsity Acres and the Catholic schools of Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Pius and St. Sylvester.
