After being annexed to the city of Calgary in 1907, the community of Upper Scarboro was established just three years later. Originally owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the land that now comprise Upper Scarboro is bound by Bow Trail and 12 Avenue to the north, 17 Avenue to the south, 17 Street and 14 Avenue to the east and Crowchild Trail to the west. The subdivisions that now exist within the Upper Scarboro community were originally approved in 1910 and 1911.
