Despite having been annexed to the city in 1910, the community of Rosemont was not developed until 1958. Today, the community is bound to the north by Northmount Drive, to the south by 23 Avenue, to the east by Cambrian Drive and to the west by 14 Street. Thanks to the location of the community, many of the single-family homes within the community provide excellent views of the mountains as well as the city. The proximity of Nose Hill Park, Confederation Park and the pathway system also provides residents with easy access to a variety of recreational opportunities.
Even closer to home, residents of the Rosemont community participate in a variety of recreational activities offered through the community association. At the community centre, which is capable of holding up to 130 residents within its main hall, residents can participate in Tai Chi, Girls Art Day Camp, Brownies and other groups and activities. The community centre also features a six-computer computer lab complete with Internet access, a skating rink and sports fields.
Elementary-aged children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Rosemont community may attend the public schools of Rosemont and King George or the Catholic schools of St. Margaret and St. Pius. Both King George and St. Pius both offer a French Immersion program. The Rosemont community is also served by four junior high schools, including the public junior high schools of Colonel Irvine and George P. Vanier and the Catholic junior high schools of St. Margaret and Madeleine d'Houet. George P. Vanier is the only one of the four schools to offer a French Immersion program. The public high schools of Crescent Heights and William Aberhart also serve the community of Rosemont, as does the Catholic high school of St. Francis. William Aberhart and St. Francis both offer French Immersion programs. Show Less...
