Having been established in 1929, the residential community of Rosedale is situated along the north escarpment of the Bow River Valley in a central location within the city. In fact, the community is bound to the north by 16 Avenue, to the south by Crescent Road, to the east by 4 Street and to the west by 10 Street. Thanks to its location, the Rosedale community provides residents with easy access to the Downtown area via Centre Street N and 10th Street N.W. Other nearby attractions include the riverside pathway system as well as the nearby Alberta College, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and Jubilee Auditorium.
In addition to being located near to the downtown area, the Rosedale community provides residents with a number of activities and recreational opportunities to select from. The community centre, which is capable of holding up to 110 people within its main hall, regularly hosts special community events. The area also features a number of parks and recreational facilities, including hockey rinks, baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and more.
Elementary-aged children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Rosedale community may attend the public schools of Rosedale and King George or the Catholic schools of St. Joseph and St. Pius. Both King George and St. Pius offer French Immersion programs. The Rosedale community is also served by four junior high schools. These include the public junior high schools of Rosedale and George P. Vanier, with the latter offering a French Immersion program. The Catholic junior high schools of St. Joseph and Madeleine d'Houet also serve the Rosedale community. Rosedale residents may also choose to attend the public high schools of Crescent Heights and William Aberhart or the Catholic high school of St. Francis. Both William Aberhart and St. Francis offer French Immersion programs. Show Less...
