Served by the same community association as Willow Park, the community of Maple Ridge was established in 1965. In all, the area served by the association is bound to the north by Southland Drive, to the south by Anderson Road, to the east by Deerfoot Trail and to the west by Macleod Trail. The community of Maple Ridge itself is located between Willow Ridge and the Bow River. The entire area is comprised of a mix of residential, commercial and recreational facilities, providing residents with plenty of things to do and places to work within the community. Additional recreational opportunities can be found at the nearby Bow River Valley and Fish Creek Provincial Park, while more can be accessed through the extensive pathway system.
In addition to being home to a number of recreational opportunities, the Maple Ridge community is also served by a very active community association. The association offers a number of events and activities throughout the year, including dog obedience training classes, yoga, Brownies, Cubs, youth soccer and senior activities. Recreational facilities available within the community include tennis courts and skating rinks.
Children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Maple Ridge community may attend the public elementary schools of Maple Ridge, R.T. Alderman and Sam Livingston or the Catholic elementary schools of St. Boniface, St. William and St. Cecilia. Both St. Cecilia and Sam Livingston offer French Immersion programs. The public junior high schools of R.T. Alderman and Fairview also serve the Maple Ridge community, as do the Catholic junior high schools of St. Bonaventure and Ecole St. Matthew. Both Fairview and Ecole St. Matthew offer French Immersion programs. High schools serving the Maple Ridge community include the public schools of Lord Bearverbrook and Dr. E.P. Scarlett, the latter of which offers a French Immersion program, and the Catholic school of Bishop Grand. Show Less...
