Located just to the north of Fish Creek Park, the community of Lake Bonavista boasts two man-made lakes: Lake Bonaventure and Lake Bonavista. Bound to the north by Anderson Road, to the south by Canyon Meadows Drive, to the east by Alley of Lake Wapta Rise and to the west by Macleod Trail, the Lake Bonavista community offers a great location for those who want to be close to outdoor recreational opportunities without being too far away from city amenities. Established in 1967, the Lake Bonavista community is served by a very active community association. Both Sam Livingston and Ecole St. Matthew offer French Immersion programs, while Lake Bonavista and Andrew Sibbald serve only Kindergarten through fourth grade students. The public junior high schools of Nickle and Fairview also serve the community, as do the Catholic junior high schools of St. Bonaventure and St. Cecilia. Both Fairview and St. Cecelia offer French Immersion programs. High school students who live in the Lake Bonavista community may attend the public school of Dr. E.P.
