Located in an area that was once owned by Harry Hays, who was elected to Mayor of Calgary in the early 1950s, the community of Haysboro was officially established in 1958. Today, the community's boundaries are formed by 82 Avenue to the north, Springwood Drive and Southland Crescent to the south, Macleod Trail to the east and 14 Street to the west. Thanks to the community's proximity to major transportation routes, residents of Haysboro enjoy easy access to many parts of the city. At the same time, due to its location near to the Glenmore Reservoir and the pathway, the community also provides its residents with numerous opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation.
