Offering excellent views of the city as well as the mountains, the community of Falconridge is a good option for those who are looking for a neighbourhood that offers the best of both worlds. Bounded by 64 Avenue to the north, McKnight Boulevard to the south, 68 Avenue to the east and 44 Street to the west, Falconridge is only a short distance from downtown Calgary and the Calgary International Airport. At the same time, residents do not have to travel far if they want to enjoy the numerous outdoor recreation opportunities that the area is known for.
Established in 1979, the community of Falconridge offers one of the most active community associations in Calgary. In fact, the Falconridge/Castleridge Community Association, or FCCA, houses the North of McKnight Community Resource Centre. The Centre serves as the home of one of the Boys and Girls Club of Calgary offices as well as several pool and foosball tables. The centre also offers 19 social services to residents, including immigrant services, counseling, parent support, baby clinics and financial aid. Other activities and organizations, including dance groups, Karate, Boy Scouts, prayer groups and Kumon, are also active within the centre's Walsh and Auxiliary halls. In all, the FCAA is licensed to hold 275 people in its main hall and 125 people in its auxiliary hall. Thanks to the ample space coupled with the numerous activities the association has to offer, the Falconridge community appeals to a wide variety of buyers and interests. Children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Falconridge community are served by a number of different schools.
