After being annexed as party of Calgary in 1907, the community of Elbow Park/Glencoe was established just three years later. Today, the community is bound to the east by the Elbow River, to the west by 14 Street and Crestview Road, to the North by Council Way and 10 Street, and to the south by Ridge south of Landsdowne Avenue and Elbow Drive. Thanks to its location along the Elbow River, the Elbow Park/Glencoe community provides residents with easy access to a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities while still remaining conveniently near to the downtown area.
Located just 3 km from downtown, the community of Elbow Park/Glencoe provides its residents with easy access to a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities. The community itself also provides residents with plenty of recreational opportunities, with the Elbow Park Community Center featuring two hockey rinks, a playground, a baseball diamond, a skating rink, tennis courts and basketball courts. Skating and art programs are also offered to community members, while the Glencoe Club maintains tennis courts and offers lessons in the area.
Thanks to the long history of the community, those who are interested in living in the Elbow Park/Glencoe community will find that there are many different types of homes to select from.
