Situated directly west of the Bow River, the Diamond Cove community is served by the same community association as the Queensland Downs community. In all, the Queensland Community Association serves an area is bound to the north by Anderson Road and Deerfoot Trail, to the south of Canyon Meadows Drive, to the east of Bow River and to the west of Bow Bottom Trail. The small Diamond Cove community, however, was separated from the rest of Queensland in 1991. Today, the Diamond Cover community is bound to the west by Bow Bottom Trail, which offers residents direct access to major travel routes such as Anderson Road and Deerfoot Trail.
Thanks to the location of the Diamond Cove community, residents enjoy easy access to much of what the area has to offer. Not only is Downtown Calgary easily accessible, but the community is also located near to Fish Creek Provincial Park and all of the recreational opportunities the park has to offer. The community centre, which is capable of holding up to 360 people within its main hall, also holds meeting rooms, a stage, an outdoor barbecue, a kitchen and a gym. Recreational facilities available to residents of Diamond Cove include tennis courts, sports fields and an outdoor skating rink.
Parents of elementary-aged children who are interested in available homes for sale in the Diamond Cove community may attend the public schools of Hautain Memorial, Queensland Downs and Sam Livingston or the Catholic schools of St. Philip and St. Cecila. Both Sam Livingston and St. Cecilia offer French Immersion programs. Junior high programs serving the Diamond Cove community include the public schools of Wilma Hansen and Fairview and the Catholic schools of St. Bonaventure and Ecole St. Matthew. Both Fairview and Ecole St. Matthew offer French Immersion programs. The Diamond Cove community is also served by the public high schools of Lord Beaverbrook and Dr. E.P.
