Established in 1990, the Country Hills Village community is one of several communities served by the Northern Hills Community Association. Other communities served by the association include Coventry Hills, Coventry Hills Estate, Harvest Hills, Panorama Hills and Panorama Hills Estates. The area served by the association is bound to the north by Stoney Trail, to the south by Beddington Trail, to the east by Deerfoot Trail and to the west by Stoney Trail. Thanks to the location of the Country Hills Village community, residents enjoy easy access to a number of recreational opportunities and amenities. This includes several golf courses as well as a variety of restaurants and shopping facilities.
Closer to home, residents of Country Hills Village can access a number of recreational opportunities, groups and activities via the community association. Recreational facilities found at the community centre include 3 gymnasiums, 2 skating rinks, a climbing wall, an aquatic complex and a workout area. The Calgary Public Library is also housed in the centre. The association also offers a variety of youth sports programs, including soccer.
Children of those who are looking for homes for sale in the Country Hills Village community may attend one of three public elementary schools. These include Colonel McLeod, Coventry Hills and King George, with King George offering a French Immersion program. Catholic elementary schools serving the community include Ascension of Our Lord, Msgr. Neville Anderson and St. Pius, with the latter offering a French Immersion program. Junior high schools serving the Country Hills Village community include the public schools of Colonel McLeod and George P. Vanier, with George P. Vanier offering a French Immersion program. The Catholic junior high schools of St. Margaret and Madeleine d'Houet also serve the community. Public high schools serving the Country Hills Village community include Crescent Heights and William Aberhart, with the latter offering a French Immersion program.
