Established in 1991, the community of Coral Springs is bordered by 64 Avenue to the north and McKnight Boulevard to the South. The East Freeway, which forms a natural boundary, is located to the east, while 68 Street forms the boundary to the west. Thanks to the community's location in the northeast portion of Calgary, it provides residents with ample opportunity to explore the great outdoors while also remaining near to all that the downtown Calgary area has to offer.
Popular for its fishing, swimming and boating opportunities, the community of Coral Springs features a lovely lake as well as plenty of green space and pathways for residents to explore. With the Coral Springs Community Association being located inside the Don Hartman Northeast Sportsplex, residents also enjoy a number of indoor activities and special events throughout the year. One event, the annual fall festival, typically offers a petting zoo, games, a climbing wall and other activities for children. Other annual events include a community garage sale and Park n' Play.
The Coral Springs Community Association is also one of the more active in Calgary in terms of advocating on the behalf of residents. Not only has the board advocated for more crosswalks and stop lights, which has helped to slow traffic through the community, but it also closely monitors area construction. The board also works closely with the Calgary Police Services, which has helped the community achieve one of the lowest crime rates in the city.
Most homes within Coral Springs reflect the community's California layout and name. Still, those who are interested in homes for sale in the Coral Springs community will find that it offers a wide variety of housing options, which makes it possible for virtually anyone to find a home to suit his lifestyle and budget needs.
