Served by the Marquis De Lorne Community Association, the community of Copperfield offers residents a number of activities and events to enjoy throughout the year. Bound to the north by McIvor Boulevard, to the south by Marquis de Lorne Trail, to the east by TUC and to the west by 52 Street SE, the community association serves Copperfield as well as the neighboring communities of McKenzie Towne, Mahogany and Cranston. All of these communities are served by a common community centre, which is capable of holding up to 50 people within its main hall. The community centre also includes two meeting rooms, an indoor fireplace and a sound system.
Given the location of the Copperfield community, residents can take full advantage of all of the amenities that are offered in the neighboring communities as well as in the Downtown area. Whether participating in community activities, youth sports or participating in annual events, there are plenty of opportunities for residents to enjoy their time together.
Elementary-aged children who live in the Copperfield community may attend the public schools of Maple Ridge, David Thompson and Sam Livingston and the Catholic schools of St. Albert the Great, St. Cecilia and St. Matthew. Both Sam Livingston and St. Cecilia offer a French Immersion program. Maple Ride is unique in that it focuses solely on Kindergarten through fourth grade students, while David Thompson serves only fifth and sixth grade students.
