This includes being the first community to construct an arena as well as being the first to offer a seniors slo pitch team. The association was also instrumental in bringing the sport of Ringette to Calgary, which continues to be a big draw in the area. Other activities that are regularly offered in the centre include dinner theatre, daycamp, dog training, Girl Guides, bingo and Seniors Tai Chi. The community center also features indoor and outdoor ice rinks and a ball diamond.
