The Old School New Years Eve Masquerade Gala

Want to have a night filled with mystery, glamour and nostalgia then the New Years Eve Masquerade Gala is the event to be at. The most elegant and extravagant room in the city, Jack Singer Lobby of Arts Commons, is your destination for a New Years Celebration like no other. You'll get to dance the night away with your favourite old school jams as you welcome the New Years with the classics. One of the biggest and most iconic celebrations in Calgary for New Years Eve, The Old School New Years Eve Masquerade Gala.

Music will be performed by Gummi and by special guests as well.The event will take place on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 9pm. As any other Masquerade ball the event has a dress code of "Formal Masquerade". The prices vary, for advance tickets they go for $45.00 and Final Batch tickets go for $60.00. This year you can celebrate with more than just a party, you can celebrate with an experience.

The Rec Room New Years Bash

There is countless amounts of events to attend on New Years Eve, but one you will not want to miss is the Rec Room New Years Eve Bash. At this event you will get to enjoy unlimited gaming, live entertainment, drinks, photobooths and more. The Rec Room is the place to let go, be playful and experience something new and exciting, and with also having a fun filled event on New Years is just going to be an unforgettable experience.

The event is on Saturday, December 31 starting at 9 pm. Each ticket is $25.00 and includes a variety of things listed below:

1 x game band for unlimited play ($100 value, *5hrs non-redemption gaming)

1 x prosecco toast (Non-alcoholic option available)

You can also purchase a VIP Early Access ticket which goes for $35.00 a ticket and includes the following:

Zoo Years Eve

Celebrate the last night of the year with the best and brightest backdrop in the city. You'll be able to enjoy all the famous ZooLights with extra special activities add to help you ring in the new year. This is a great family friendly event to spend quality time with family and friends and would also be a great date night experience as well. It's a festive way to help you and your loved ones celebrate the last night of 2022 with a magical adventure.

Zoo Years Eve is located at the Calgary Zoo and will take place on Saturday, December 31 from 5pm to 9pm. There are a couple of different ticket prices, General (16+ years old) is $29.95, Children (3-15 years old) is $22.95, Infant (under 3 years old) is free entry. 

Glow Calgary

Glow Calgary is full of excitement and offers many different activies to entertain any one of any age. Some of the sights and actvities you can enjoy are the Light Gardens, Santa Visit, Bouncy Farm, Selfie Walls, Swings, Characters Visits and so much more. Glow Calgary is a great place to spend quality time with family and friends, also a special place for a date night as well. This event is open now until December 31 (New Years Eve), there are different events happening everyday so check their website to see which events are happening on which days.

Tickets vary for this event, for general admission it is $30 and for a family day pass (2 General and 3 Children) it's $100. Glow Calgary also offers special rooms you can book for celebrations such as a party, work holiday party and birthday party. They have three rooms, The Superhero room, The Princess room and the VIP room, all prices vary on the different rooms. 

Olympic Plaza Fireworks

One of the most popular and exciting things to do on New Years Eve is watching fireworks. Calgary will be setting off Fireworks on December 31 at 11:55pm at the Olympic Plaza for everyone to enjoy. You are able to go down to the Olympic Plaza to watch the fire works, or from the comfort of your own home, most of Calgary should be able to see these fireworks.
