You are sure to enjoy the most excellent Christmas Lights displays in and around Calgary in 2020. Despite this year's Covid-19 regulations, there are still many safe opportunities to see all the great lights the City of Calgary has to offer!

The sparkling of the many Christmas lights is one of our favourite parts of the season. Whether you want to be outside in the cool crisp air or drive by in the warmth and safety of your car, it gives you a merry reason to get up and out the doors!

ZOOLIGHTS, presented by Olympia Trust Company, is back for its 24th year! Calgary's award winning, magical holiday tradition will be glowing for seven weeks of festive family-friendly fun. We're committed to helping you enjoy the magic of ZOOLIGHTS in a safe and physically distanced way while supporting wildlife conservation.

The Lions' Festival of Lights is the largest free drive-by Christmas lights showcase in Calgary and begins on November 26, 2019 and runs until January 8, 2021. This annual Festival has been organized by the Lions Festival of Lights Society for 34 years now. Whether you drive by it every day or now and then, it's a Calgary Christmas tradition that never fails to delight! Get bundled up and take in the sights by foot, or view the twinkling lights from the warmth of your car by driving along 14 St NW, north of 24 Ave.

Get your glow on the Airdrie Festival of Lights, Western Canada's largest, free, outdoor walk-through Christmas Light Display. Since 1996, this family-friendly event has been made possible by volunteers that help light up the holiday season. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no additional activities on the grounds this year. However, with all of the fantastic lights to take in, you're assured of having a magical time.

Enjoy the truly magical Christmas Lights at Spruce Meadows as you drive through in the comfort of your vehicle, with thousands of sparkling lights, festive displays and holiday tunes. Tune your radio to 87.9 FM to listen to the festive music while you experience the Spruce Meadows Christmas Lights Drive Through and their amazing Christmas light display.


The community of Legacy, in Calgary's SE, is celebrating Legacy's 6th Annual Christmas Light Parade! From November 16, 2020, to January 10, 2021, Legacy will light up the south end of the city with more than a million Christmas lights in a bright display throughout the community as one of Calgary's largest free light displays. Take a walk or drive through the community to see festive lights in parks and playgrounds, on the trees, show homes, many private homes, and design features like the Legacy clock tower. 


We have a wonderful downtown here in Calgary. Explore our downtown and see how the office towers do it right with lots of magical lights! Don't forget to visit Stephen Avenue, Olympic Plaza, the McDougall Centre and the CORE.
